Sharing My (Our) Story

I am sharing this with select friends for now, but someday, maybe I'll share it with a bigger group. These friends are people who are partners in prayer, and some are friends I know are going through the same fertility issues, or who have been there before.

I debated whether I'll share the cost of doing IVF. In the end, I decided to include it so people who are considering it will know the financial requirement to undergo this process. Anyway, as far as Kato is concerned, the cost of services is posted on their website. It is not a big secret. IVF is emotionally, physically and financially taxing. It is definitely not for everyone. That's why it took us a long time to decide to go for it.

Thank you for taking this journey with me.

Support Group

I am blessed to have a great support group throughout this journey. I have a few friends who knew about the procedure and had been partnering with us in prayer. Some of my colleagues also know, specifically my boss, and the Marketing Leadership Team. They have been very supportive, and encouraging. I cannot ask for a better team. One of my cousins, who also happen to be a very good friend, knew about it from day 1. Our Care Group head at church also partnered with us in prayer. We are very blessed to have a lot of people praying for us.

My family also knows we are doing IVF. However, they have no idea that we've already done the embryo transfer. Last thing they know is that we are still waiting for my period after being treated for my adenomyosis. I decided to keep this a secret so I can surprise them once we have a confirmation. I wish I can also surprise my hubby, but well, he's my partner in this journey, so he obviously can't be kept in the dark. So I am really looking forward to surprising my parents. So, if you are following this blog, please keep the information to yourself. We plan to tell the rest of the world after the first trimester, which will be just before Christmas.

I can't wait to share our good news!
