Sharing My (Our) Story

I am sharing this with select friends for now, but someday, maybe I'll share it with a bigger group. These friends are people who are partners in prayer, and some are friends I know are going through the same fertility issues, or who have been there before.

I debated whether I'll share the cost of doing IVF. In the end, I decided to include it so people who are considering it will know the financial requirement to undergo this process. Anyway, as far as Kato is concerned, the cost of services is posted on their website. It is not a big secret. IVF is emotionally, physically and financially taxing. It is definitely not for everyone. That's why it took us a long time to decide to go for it.

Visit #9 - Third and Last Decapeptyl Injection

May 3, 2015 | Hubby dropped me off at The Enterprise Center and I went up to the clinic alone. I knew it would be a quick trip anyway, so I let him proceed to do the  Sunday errands. There were a couple of other patients this Sunday morning, but the wait wasn't long. I went in and just like last month, we agreed that the injection will be administered on my buttocks. The nurse used the needle that came with the kit and it was bigger than the one used last time. I felt the needle pierce my skin. There was a bit of pain, but it was tolerable. I was out of there within 30 minutes of arriving to the clinic.

Again, I paid Php8,400. This is the last Decapeptyl injection. I will be back once my period comes which should be 6-8 weeks from today. If I don't get my period by end of June, I will come back to get checked and perhaps have my period induced. After that, our embryo will be transferred back into my body. Exciting. Scary.

Please pray that I will ovulate naturally within June.

And please pray for our little embryo. Hang in there. Soon you'll be home in mommy's tummy.
