Sharing My (Our) Story

I am sharing this with select friends for now, but someday, maybe I'll share it with a bigger group. These friends are people who are partners in prayer, and some are friends I know are going through the same fertility issues, or who have been there before.

I debated whether I'll share the cost of doing IVF. In the end, I decided to include it so people who are considering it will know the financial requirement to undergo this process. Anyway, as far as Kato is concerned, the cost of services is posted on their website. It is not a big secret. IVF is emotionally, physically and financially taxing. It is definitely not for everyone. That's why it took us a long time to decide to go for it.

Graduation Day

November 9, 2015 | Today was bittersweet. It marked my last day at Kato Repro Biotech Center. On one hand, this means my pregnancy is progressing well (now at 8.5 weeks), and it is time to officially turn over my prenatal care to my regular OB. On the other hand, I will miss this place. This has been a huge blessing to us. God used this clinic to answer our prayers. This place allowed us to witness God's grace. Each visit to this clinic gave us an opportunity to see God's miracle unfold in our lives. Other than that, I will also miss how everything works here. They're just so efficient.

Anyway, for this check up, I had a urine test, blood test and ultrasound. Baby is healthy, heartbeat is strong, and size is within the normal range. My due date is June 17th, 2016. Urinalysis and blood test also had favorable results. Praise the Lord!

Before I left, I was given a medical certificate with all the pertinent details of our IVF process and latest test results. I was also given an endorsement letter to my OB also with the relevant information regarding our IVF process and latest test results. I also took home a copy of the latest ultrasound photos. Happy and sad.

Thank you Kato. I will miss the clinic. I will miss the helpful and friendly staff. But I'm also glad we're are leaving with answered prayers and that we are now part of your roster of success stories.
